The personal computer did get us to the next thing. Then the next, and the next. The internet. Mobile. Internet of things. Social media. Web3. Generative AI. Each technology launched hyperbolic narratives lacking Joe MacMillan’s subdued but hopeful style. They always fell into three camps: techno-optimists, non-believers, and doomsayers. F*** AI solves nothing
...sentiments get wrapped up into a simple “F*** AI.” Algorithms love these sentiments, so it wasn’t surprising that a “F*** AI” vibe infiltrated social media and conversations for days. It’s meant to be a battle cry for humanity. But a battle cry is only useful if you have a good battle plan.
